Advent
An Advent wreath traditionally has four candles, representing the four weeks leading up to Christmas. It is usually displayed flat on a table or piece of furniture. A Christmas wreath, on the other hand, is mainly used as a festive decoration and can also be hung on a door or wall.
Advent wreaths and arrangements are often made with a floral foam base and decorated with fresh cut flowers. To keep your arrangement looking beautiful for as long as possible, make sure the floral foam remains sufficiently moist.
Always place your Advent wreath with candles on a stable surface and make sure the candles are securely fixed in the floral foam or candle holders so they cannot fall over. Extinguish the candles before the flames get close to the greenery and always before going to bed. Never leave burning candles unattended or place them near curtains, paper or other flammable materials.
A fresh Advent wreath can stay beautiful for around a week if you keep it in a cool place and water it regularly. You can also choose to let the arrangement dry naturally, allowing you to enjoy it for much longer.
Advent begins four weeks before Christmas, so ideally you should have your Advent wreath delivered just before the start of this period. Want to start later? That’s no problem: you can adjust the number of candles you use or choose an arrangement with fewer candles.
