How long does an amaryllis last in a flower arrangement?

When an amaryllis stem is placed in OASIS floral foam, it will generally remain attractive for 7 to 14 days. In some Christmas arrangements, the amaryllis bulb itself is secured directly into the design. In that case, it can take 2 to 6 weeks before the flower starts to open, while the rest of the arrangement gradually dries decoratively.
