Why is a gladiolus the perfect flower for someone who has graduated or passed their exams?

The gladiolus is a seasonal flower that is widely available at the end of June. Its name comes from the Latin word “gladius”, meaning “sword”, and the flower symbolises victory, pride and perseverance. This symbolism makes the gladiolus an ideal flower for a bouquet celebrating someone’s academic success.
